One of the activities to strengthen student competence in the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Djuanda University is the Field Work Lecture program. The KKL program in the form of a 4 credit course must be taken by students who have passed at least 100 credits. The aim of the field work program is to provide direct practical reinforcement to the agency chosen as the location of the field work. It is expected that with this activity students are better prepared to enter the work field with a balanced mastery of theory and practice and increase the competitiveness of graduates. In an effort to monitor the achievement of these objectives, the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Djuanda University conducted an MPA visitation. Visitation is carried out by supervisors as a strategic step to monitor the competence of MPA students. On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, an MPA visitation was conducted at the Center for Freshwater Aquaculture Research and Fisheries Extension of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, namely at the Freshwater Fisheries Germplasm Research Installation, Cijeruk, Bogor Regency. At this research center, students follow all the hatchery cycles of various types of fish. Students occupy certain divisions of fish commodities based on the direction of the supervisor and field supervisor. Dr. Eko Rini Farastuti, M.Si as the Head of the Aquaculture Study Program said that this MPA visitation is very important to find out the active role of students in all activity cycles. In addition, this activity is also to be able to see the readiness of students according to the focus of expertise in order to have high graduate competitiveness. Good student competence when practicing in the field can help provide an overview of the quality of the Study Program.
