The Animal Science Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture (FAPERTA) Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA) welcomed the assessors of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for a Field Assessment (AL) on November 27–29, 2025. This activity serves as an important stage in the quality evaluation process to ensure that the implementation of higher education meets national standards.
Present during the opening ceremony, the Rector of UNIDA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. R. Siti Pupu Fauziah, M.Pd.I., stated that all preparations for the Field Assessment had been carried out optimally. She expressed hope that the report submitted to the assessors would provide a clear reflection of the performance of the Animal Science Study Program.
“InsyaAllah, we have prepared everything in accordance with the applicable regulations. What is presented in the report is a real representation of what we have been doing. Today, we will gain valuable insights. Our goal is not only to obtain a good score, but also to learn how to continuously improve our study program,” she said.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. R. Siti Pupu Fauziah, M.Pd.I., further emphasized that the Field Assessment is expected to yield the best results while also becoming a momentum to strengthen governance, enhance academic quality, and broaden meaningful contributions to society.
“May the entire assessment process run smoothly and result in positive outcomes that support the improvement of education quality at Universitas Djuanda,” she added.
Echoing the same message, the Chairman of YPSPIAI Board of Trustees and Chancellor of UNIDA, Prof. Dr. H. Martin Roestamy, S.H., M.H., highlighted that the Field Assessment is a strategic moment to reinforce commitment toward the university’s vision.
“Hopefully, this assessment will encourage and motivate our colleagues in the Animal Science Study Program. Good results are expected, but more importantly, we must use this process to improve ourselves in achieving our vision of Becoming an Excellent University for Educating the Nation, Unified in Tauhid, with International Standards. This is our shared commitment,” he remarked.
The assessment involved two BAN-PT assessors: Prof. Dr. Ir. Dwatmadji, M.Sc., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Sutawi, M.P. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dwatmadji, M.Sc., stated that the purpose of the visit was to validate the alignment between the written report and the actual field conditions.
“Thank you for the warm welcome. Our purpose here is to build good relations and verify what has been reported with the conditions observed in the field,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sutawi, M.P., emphasized that the assessment was carried out through a confirmation approach rather than a judgmental one.
“This assessment is not meant to judge, but rather to confirm whether everything aligns with the submitted report. Hopefully, the results will be in line with our shared expectations,” he said.
