Last Updated: 2 years ago

The development and coaching of students' artistic talents is one of the key efforts in strengthening national character. At Universitas Djuanda, this initiative is also aligned with the character-building mission implemented throughout the campus environment. The Aquaculture Study Program (Prodi Akuakultur), in its efforts to improve the quality of its graduates, actively supports the nurturing of students' artistic interests and talents. One of the strategies involves providing opportunities and encouragement for students to express themselves through art.

At the end of 2023, Aquaculture students proudly achieved national recognition in the field of art and cultural performance. Students from the Aquaculture Study Program participated in the Rara Kananta Cultural and Arts Festival (PUSAKA) 2023, held online by the UKTK (Student Art and Cultural Unit) of Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Surabaya.

During the award ceremony on December 18, 2023, praise be to Allah for the achievements of Aquaculture students who won two national-level awards. The first award was 1st place in the Individual Traditional Dance Category, performed by M. Taufik (7th semester), with a dance themed "Tari Mbah Tulis". The second award was 2nd place in the Group Traditional Dance Category with a dance titled "Tari Leungit Jagat", performed by M. Taufik (7th semester), Reza Laksmana Hanafi (3rd semester), and Restu Akim (5th semester).

These achievements highlight that Aquaculture students excel not only academically but also artistically. The Head of the Aquaculture Study Program expressed that, God willing, the program will continue to support students in achieving excellence in academics, the arts, and other areas—paving the way to becoming a leading program that produces graduates with outstanding competence and quality.
