Alhamdulillah, the Aquaculture Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture, Djuanda University conducted a visit to the Leading Research Laboratory Unit (ULRU) of IPB University, located at the Dramaga Campus. The activity took place on May 7, 2025, with the objective of enhancing students’ competencies by expanding their insights into advanced research development.
During the visit, students were accompanied by Dr. Dudi Lesmana, M.Si., and warmly welcomed by Mr. Asep Syawaliansah, S.T., M.M., Supervisor of Administrative and General Services, along with Mr. Irus Rustandi, A.Md., a laboratory technician at the Nano Imaging Laboratory.
Mr. Asep, representing ULRU, provided an in-depth explanation of the laboratory’s functions and also opened the door for potential collaboration with the Aquaculture Study Program of Djuanda University. In response, Dr. Dudi, representing the program, expressed hope for future collaboration in the form of joint research and publications.
Following the discussion, students were guided by Mr. Irus Rustandi to visit several advanced laboratory units, including the Metabolomics Laboratory, Nano Imaging, Molecular Science, Robotics, and Microenvironmental Control labs. The students showed great enthusiasm for the sophisticated analysis tools available, actively engaging with questions about equipment usage procedures and how to initiate collaborative research.
One student even expressed a strong interest in the possibility of conducting research at the ULRU in the future.
Alhamdulillah, the visit to the ULRU Laboratory went smoothly. May this experience inspire Aquaculture students at the Faculty of Agriculture, Djuanda University to further strengthen their competencies.
