As part of its commitment to enhancing the professionalism of the teaching process, Universitas Djuanda organized the “In-House Training for Lecturers – Academic Year 2023/2024.” The training was held over two days, Tuesday–Wednesday, September 5–6, 2023, at the Auditorium of Building C, Universitas Djuanda, Ciawi campus.
A total of 47 young lecturers from various faculties participated in the training, including 11 representatives from the Faculty of Agriculture. Among them were three lecturers from the Aquaculture Study Program: Eko Rini Farastuti, M.Si, Dr. Hultera, M.Si, and Ananingtyas S. Darmarini, S.Pi., M.P., Dr.
Other representatives from the Faculty of Agriculture included lecturers from:
Agribusiness (AGB): Syaimah Lailatul Mubarokah, M.Si; Azrin Syamsuddin, Ir., M.Si., Dr.; Fony Farizal, S.P., M.Si.; and Riny Kusumawati, S.P., M.M., Dr.
Animal Husbandry (TNK): Dewi Wahyuni, S.Pt., M.Si.; Annisa Rahmi, drh., M.Si; and Ikhsan Qodri Pramata, S.Pt.
Agrotechnology (AGT): Darudriyo, S.P., M.P.
The training aimed to prepare lecturers to deliver high-quality learning experiences. On the first day, the materials covered included:
Internalization of 21 Tauhid-based Character Values in Higher Education Teaching,
Curriculum Based on National Higher Education Standards (SNDikti) and the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program,
Development and Preparation of Learning Plans (RPS),
Learning Assessment and Evaluation,
Teaching Skills.
On the second day, the topics continued with:
6) Education and Teaching Processes,
7) Student Supervision Techniques,
8) ICT-Based Learning,
9) Research and Community Service,
10) Lecturer Strengthening and Consolidation, and
11) Microteaching.
Participants were also required to complete assignments, including a microteaching video and a course learning plan (RPS) relevant to their subject matter.
On this occasion, the Head of the Aquaculture Study Program expressed the importance of optimizing opportunities provided by the university to upgrade teaching competencies. This initiative plays a strategic role in strengthening the study program’s quality, ultimately leading to the production of highly qualified graduates. High-quality graduates can only be produced through effective and enriched learning processes, particularly by committed and competent lecturers within the Aquaculture Study Program.
