UNIDA Delegation Visits MARA Food Technology Incubator Center Organized by PERDASAMA Malaysia, Strengthening Creative Economy in the ASEAN Region

A delegation from Djuanda University (UNIDA) participated alongside ASEANACA delegates from various Indonesian universities in an official visit to the MARA Food Technology Incubator Center, organized by PERDASAMA Malaysia. This activity was part of the International Tridharma Visit series, aimed at strengthening international networks, expanding collaborations, and opening opportunities for partnership in entrepreneurship and business innovation, particularly between Indonesia and Malaysia.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the leadership of the MARA Food Technology Incubator Center and PERDASAMA Malaysia representative, Datuk Dr. Ibrahim Bin Yahya. In his remarks, he explained that PERDASAMA has 14 branches across Malaysia and is open to trade cooperation, business partnerships, as well as internship programs for Indonesian students. On behalf of ASEANACA, Prof. Dr. Tulus Suryanto, M.M., Akt., CA., CMA., CFA., PIA., Asean CPA, stated that ASEANACA, as a forum for ASEAN academics, is ready to establish collaborations with various institutions, including PERDASAMA. He emphasized the potential for developing Student Mobility, Internship, and International Community Service programs.

The visit continued with discussion sessions and presentations from several institutions and corporate members of PERDASAMA. Delegates also had the opportunity to tour the incubator facilities, collaborative (co-working spaces), and startup units currently being nurtured under the MARA Food Technology Incubator Center.

The UNIDA delegation included Prof. Dr. Ir. Anggraeni, M.Si. from the Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture; Asep Thobibuddin Qolyubi, S.H., M.H. from the Law Study Program, Faculty of Law; and Saepul Anwar, S.Ak., M.Ak. from the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business. Also present were Nadia Amalia, S.I.Kom., M.AP. from the Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, and Arti Hastuti, S.T.P., M.T.P. from the Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Halal Food Sciences.

This visit marked an important momentum in strengthening bilateral relations between ASEAN universities and partners in Malaysia, while reaffirming a shared commitment to supporting the development of the creative economy, entrepreneurship, and innovation at both regional and global levels.
