Bella Aprilia, a FISIP UNIDA Student, Selected as a Google Student Ambassador 2026

Last Updated: 3 months ago

A remarkable achievement has been earned by Bella Aprilia, a student of the Public Administration Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA). The sixth-semester student has officially been selected as a Google Student Ambassador (GSA) 2026, a prestigious program that provides selected students the opportunity to represent Google in promoting digital literacy within the campus environment.

Her success is driven by a strong motivation to continuously grow in the field of technology. Despite coming from a social sciences background, she believes that technology can be learned by anyone.

“As a FISIP student, I want to prove that anyone can learn and contribute to the field of technology, not just IT students,” she stated.

Bella added that her interest in the program was also influenced by the significant role of technology—especially Google products—in supporting daily activities, whether in studying, working, or organizational involvement. This encouraged her not only to be a user but also to contribute to spreading the benefits of technology to others.

The selection process for the Google Student Ambassador 2026 was conducted online. She learned about the registration through social media and went through several challenging stages, ranging from administrative screening to a self-recorded interview without any editing.

During the interview stage, participants were required to answer questions related to motivation, program ideas, experiences, and future contributions. She admitted that this stage was particularly challenging, as she had to deliver her ideas clearly, concisely, and naturally in a single take.

Throughout the selection process, she chose to stay true to herself and answer each question honestly. She also prepared by learning more about Google, its products, and the role of an ambassador. Her academic and internship experiences further strengthened her responses.

“The most important thing is not only technical skills, but also mindset—the willingness to keep learning, trying, and contributing,” she explained.

As a Google Student Ambassador 2026, she is committed to creating a positive impact within the campus environment, particularly in improving students’ digital literacy. She plans to organize various interactive activities such as workshops, sharing sessions, and building inclusive collaborative learning spaces.

At the end of her statement, she encouraged fellow students not to be afraid of trying new things, even if they feel unprepared or come from different backgrounds.

“Don’t be afraid to try. Start from small things and from curiosity. Because opportunities come to help us learn,” she concluded.
